This will be my 5th year being a part of the 4-H Horse Association. This will be my 3rd year being an Adult Board Member. We have had Danny for two years and he is a Haflinger, who is 22 years old. He loves driving and "helping" with barn chores. We were excited to bring him home to our barn this past November.
Hi, my name is Keira Leitermann I am the Alternate District Youth Representative, for Outagamie County. I have been in the Horse Project for 7 years. I participate in Horse Bowl/Hippology for our county. I have gone to State with a horse twice. I have been in the project since 3rd grade and it is a lot of fun. I have made a lot of new friends and it is just great.
My name is Trisha Ewing and I’m serving on the adult horse board for my second year. I’ve been involved with the Outagamie Horse Association since my daughter Lydia joined in 2015. We were relatively new to the horse world at that time and I have been learning as we go!
Hi my name is Lydia Ewing. I’ve been in the horse association for 8 years and I am on the youth board as an alternate district representative.
Welcome to the 4-H Horse/Horseless project. Here is a little bit about myself,
I have been in the horse project 26 years, first as a parent, then a horse leader, horse president twice, and now one of the superintendents and a resource leader. I coached youth in horse bowl and hippology when my daughter was in the project and then again when my grandchildren were interested. In the past, our teams went twice to Regionals in Ohio and twice to Nationals in Kentucky. For the past five years, along with Danielle Schlueter, Sally Anderson, and Trisha Ewing, I have been coaching youth again in horse bowl, hippology, judging, and team problems. All the the youth have been doing very well bringing home Grands, Reserves, and Top Tens in the State competitions. Participating in the educational events is a great way to meet others in the project, make friends, and learn a lot about horses. Currently, we hope to have a senior team go again to either Regionals or Nationals with hippology, horse bowl, judging, and/or speech. Come join us.

Hi! I am Joy Vandenberg and I’ve been in the Horse project since I was nine years old. This is my 11th and final year of 4-H. I’m currently studying psychology at UW Stevens Point and really miss my “barn therapist” also known as Lexus. I’ve shown English, Western, Dressage, Driving, and enjoy the fun of Gymkhana!
Hello! I’m Lori Vandenberg and the current Sitting President of the Horse Project. I showed horses as a youth in Outagamie County 4-H and open shows. It’s been a blast to share my experience and love of horses with my daughter, Joy. We’ve made many wonderful friends through the Horse Project and memories I’ll treasure forever! I’m looking forward to seeing all of you soon!!!
